Liam Gilchrist joins from Herbert Smith as Commercial Lawyer

The Climate Bridge London office welcomed Liam Gilchrist from Herbert Smith as our new Commercial Laywer.  Liam has a double degree in Law and Commerce from Melbourne University, where he served as an Editor of the Melbourne University Law Review.  His commercial experience includes work at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune in Tokyo, Blake Dawson in Melbourne, and Herbert Smith in Dubai, where he worked on complex cross-border financing and private equity transactions. <

Andrew Schwaitzberg joins from McKinsey as Business Strategy Manager

The ever-growing Climate Bridge London office is delighted to welcome Andrew Schwaitzberg from McKinsey in Washington DC.  After gaining his BA and BBA (with high honours) from the University of Texas at Austin in Finance and Government, Andrew worked with the Overseas Development Institute and a University investment fund before joining McKinsey where applied himself to a major economy-wide analysis of the costs and benefits of reducing emissions in the USA, and a market-leading study on adaptation to climate change in Florida.  Climate Bridge London is thrilled to have And

Climate Bridge closes breakthrough post-2012 transaction

Climate Bridge Limited announced today that it has closed a structured transaction for post-2012 carbon credits with CE2 Carbon Capital, one of the largest U.S. investors in and owners of carbon offsets and carbon emissions reduction projects.  The transaction involves around 500,000 tonnes of CERs generated from Climate Bridge projects from 2013 to 2017. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Sarah Chapman joins from McKinsey as Business Strategy Manager

The Climate Bridge London office welcomed Sarah Chapman as our new Business Stategy Manager.  Sarah read Mathematics at Cambridge before joining McKinsey, where she developed expertise in climate-change business and strategy, including an intense period supporting the negotiations at Copenhagen in December 2009.  The Climate Bridge London office is delighted to have Sarah on board, and has taken on a new floor at 9 Belgrave Road to accommodate our growing team.

Climate Bridge has registered China’s first Gold Standard small hydropower project in Gansu province.

A new book "The Economics and Politics of Climate Change", co-edited by Climate Bridge Executive Director, Dr Cameron Hepburn, and Professor Dieter Helm of Oxford University, has been published by Oxford University Press. 

Zoe Qian joins as Financial Controller

Climate Bridge has wasted no time in appointing Zoe Qian as our new Finanical Controller.  Zoe, who is a CPA with a BA in Commerce from Melbourne University and an MBA from Deakin, joins us from law firm Slater and Gordon.  Zoe starts today in our new Melbourne office.
