Climate Bridge registered with ASIC to provide financial services in Australia

Climate Bridge Pty. Ltd. has been approved by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) to provide financial product advice regarding, and deal in Carbon Units, Australian Carbon Credit Units and Eligible International Units.

From 1st July 2012 (the date the Carbon Price Mechanism begins) trading in or providing advice on carbon credits in Australia will require such authorisation from ASIC.

Climate Bridge was founded by Australians (Cameron Hepburn and Alex Wyatt) while living overseas, and has extensive experience dealing in carbon credits of different types in Europe and China. Climate Bridge has operated in the international carbon markets since 2006 and opened a Melbourne office in 2009. This authorisation will allow Climate Bridge to bring its expertise home to the fledgling Australian market.
